Greetings, Strangers!

Strange DNA is the dark pop project of Jessica English - creating music and visual worlds for outsiders, dreamers and anyone who has ever felt different.

Blending cinematic electronic production, haunting vocals and alternative pop, Strange DNA explores identity, belonging and the strange parts of ourselves we often keep hidden.

Fusing ethereal vocals with eerie synths and glitchy textures, Strange DNA draws influence from the likes of Grimes, The Knife, and TV shows such as The X-Files. Lyrics often touch on philanthropic and monster themes, used as a tool to characterise and come to terms with the horrors of humankind.

“horror appeals to our innermost fears and desires.”
